Four cars that were used by the team Marussia, initially called Virgin and today still on track under the name of Manor, are offered for auction by John Pye Auctions Luxury Assets.

Marussia was of the course the F1 team of driver, Jules Bianchi, who tragically passed away after nine months in a coma following an accident in Japan in October 2014. The young man from Nice has a bright career ahead of him before the accident that ultimately took his life and brought the world of F1 racing into mourning.

From a private collection, these cars were all in action on the Grand Prix circuit between 2010 and 2013. Notably, this the first time that a car equipped with the DRS system has been available through public auction.

The cars include the Virgin VR01 driven by Timo Glock and Lucas di Grassi in 2010, the Marussia Virgin MVR02 driven by Timo Glock and Jerome d'Ambrosio for the 2011 season, Marussia MR01 again entrusted to Timo Glock and also Charles Pic fo the 2012 season and finally the Marussia MR02 driven in 2013 by Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton.

The auction and sale will take place in England in the UK. Viewings are available at The John Pye Luxury Assets Premium Saleroom in the West Midlands, on the 1st and 2nd of February 2016. More information can be found on their website.
